A Model That Works for 100% of the People

What a day of hope! For us as individuals, our communities, our nation and the world. As I watched the inaugural ceremony from the warmth of my Mom's living room on this beautiful Northwest island, I felt a renewed sense of hope and possibility surge through me. A reminder that we must stay the course and continue to do the work of transforming our social and economic model to one that works for 100% of the people. Social enterprise and social entrepreneurship are poised to be part of the underpinning of the transformation from fear to hope and from hate to love. For the practice of social enterprise to go from fringe to mainstream, it will require continued hard work and restructuring of old ways on the part of practitioners, the education system, financial markets and policy makers.

Today, I float on a ray of hope and energy to keep doing this work. Thank you to everyone who is a part of this movement and who continues to see the higher perspective.
